While attending the University of Connecticut, Kristine discovered her love for physical fitness and all of its health benefits. After graduating with a degree in economics, staying in shape and exercising regularly continued to be an integral part of Kristine’s daily routine. After 11 years in the fast paced business world, Kristine left her job to have children. In 2000, after her second child, Kristine continued to be drawn to the world of fitness and became a certified Spin Instructor, teaching at several gyms in the immediate area. It didn’t take long for Kristine to realize that motivating and energizing people through exercise was her real passion. Consequently, in 2005, she added to her list of fitness certifications by becoming a certified Les Mills Body Pump Instructor. Always intrigued by body mechanics and its general effect on the overall fitness of one’s body, Kristine went on to study Pilates through the Peak Pilates System. After comprehensive training in classical Pilates and countless hours of personal practice, Kristine truly transformed her mind and body. Chris has been active in athletics for over 15 years. She started primarily as a runner and has since reached various distances from 5K to Marathon. Chris manages the Sound Runner in Old Saybrook, where she has been since shortly after they opened in 2009. The last 3 years she has educated many local athletes on the importance of having the right equipment to lead an active lifestyle. Marc has a wide range of experience in the world of fitness. In addition to personal training, he spent seven years as a coach to the Clinton Junior Varsity baseball team. BIO
June 2005, at the end of his junior year of high school, Mark discovered his desire for fitness and healthy living. After losing an upwards of 60 pounds, he finally conqured what had afflicted him for so long and and continues to plaque so many people today; being overweight. Following high school, Mark went on to play football at the University of Massachusetts from 2006-2007, which exposed him collegiate-style training and meal plan management. He has been a member of the gym community for several years now and has aquired a diverse collection of fitness methods which assist in his ability to help all ages meet their goals. Weather a younger member who desires agility training for an upcoming sports season, or a senior wanting to preserve their overall health and bone density with strength development. Mark is qualified to handle the load. He brings with him an unwaivering determination for success that which aided him where his journey began; to sweat through that extra lap, to jump that higher box, and to power through that last set. By facilitating such perserverance, Mark has the utmost confidence that anyone can reach and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
