Shoreline Fitness is the Club that has it all!


Shoreline fitness provides members with the highest quality group exercise programming and instruction available. Our fantastic instructors are fit, focused, motivating, fun and have extensive training. Members are challenged with a jam packed cutting edge schedule. Get your heart thumping with cardio intense classes such as Spin, RPM, Cardio Combo, Freestyle Step and Body Step! Be strong and powerful in Muscle Shape and the world’s most popular class Body Pump. Challenge your inner athlete in Xtrain and Boot Camp. Fight your way through Body Combat and Boxer Boot Camp! If you feel like dancing, Zumba and Body Jam will get you moving. And for those who need a little Zen, Body Flow will challenge your body with its combination of Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates! We offer an array of Les Mills world class programming!!!

We also offer specialty class programming for those interested. TRX uses your body to challenge muscles through suspension and functional training. Elite kickboxing kicks butt while you push yourself to unthinkable limits while punching and kicking wave master bags!



Elite Kickboxing
Elite Kickboxing is located in the kickboxing studio in the Old Saybrook club. Master Martial Arts Trainer Tony Pinto will coach you through an intensely powerful bag workout. You will be coached on several mma style techniques while you sweat and burn. Some of the techniques include but are not limited to kickboxing, boxing, muai tai, karate and taekwondo. Through the use of punching bags and focus pads your trainer will teach you the proper technique and form to help you become an Elite Fighter! Elite Kickboxing Classes are listed on the Club Schedule.

Group Classes
Shoreline Fitness is committed to providing an amazing selection of the most exciting and cutting edge group fitness classes. The best part is that these are included with your membership. We offer over 70 group fitness classes per week in each location, so there is always a time and class that will work for you. Please check the group exercise schedules section of each club for a list and description of each class.

Clinton Schedule

Pilates
Pilates is a system of exercise designed to train the entire body from the core out. While mat exercises offer a complete workout, equipment-based workouts provide an advantage, using spring resistance and assistance that helps the body accelerate the process of re-aligning and strengthening the body. Reformer classes combine the traditional movements of Pilates with stretches, strength movements, balances and other fitness elements challenging participants at a level most have never experienced before.

Team Training
Teams consist of 4 members that train with one trainer. Teams are assigned so no need to recruit partners, we will do that. The teams meet twice a week at a set time. There are monthly challenges that keep it fun and exciting. Please refer to the Club Schedule for dates and times. If the date and time is not listed, please contact the front desk as we are always adding dates and times. There are three levels to accommodate all fitness and experience levels. They are:

Team Transformation-Entry level team whose primary goal is body transformation. The teams focus on cardiovascular training, stabilization, strength as well as flexibility training. If you want big results, this is the team for you!

Team Fitness- Intermediate level team that focuses on taking your fitness to the next level! High intensity workouts focused on strength endurance, aerobic and anaerobic training, as well as flexibility training will challenge you and increase your overall fitness level.

Team Power-Advanced level team that focuses on advanced training techniques including dynamic and reactive stabilization training, anaerobic and aerobic training, power training as well as flexibility training. Power training is not for everyone, but it can produce amazing results. Recommended for athletes and members who like a serious challenge.

TRX Suspension Training

Yoga
Shoreline Yoga is an intimate studio space located across the parking lot from the main Clinton club. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced yogi, Shoreline Yoga welcomes you to join us in discovering or expanding your practice. Our goal is to make yoga accessible physically and mentally to everyone. We offer a diverse collaboration of experienced teachers from varying schools of yoga. From Ashtanga, Kripahu, Hatha/Lyengar to Gentle and Heated Power yoga, we provide a welcoming and supportive environment to explore the many benefits of yoga, breath-work and meditation. These benefits include an increase in strength, flexibility, stress-reduction, weight loss, improved posture, mental clarity, balance and even pain reduction. Yoga is for everyone and anyone!
